Fenugreek has many health benefits. This yellowish brown colour seed has various health benefits. Fenugreek seeds and leaves are common ingredients in various Indian dishes. Fenugreek seeds are rich in Protein, Iron and Vitamin C. It also regulates blood sugar.
Fenugreek leaves also has many health benefits. Both dry and fresh fenugreek leaves are healthy. They can be used in various recipies like stuffed chapatis and parathas. Fenugreek seeds can be added to fish curry it adds flavour and a great aroma to the curry.
Fenugreek seeds can be used to treat dandruff. Soak 4 to 5 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight in fresh water. The next day, grind it into a fine paste. Apply it on the scalp, massage it gently and wash it with a mild shampoo. If you continue this once in a week or once in two weeks you may get a dandruff free scalp.
Because of all these health benefits, fenugreek is one of my pantry staples.
