SIMPLE AND CREAMY CHICKEN SANDWICH,GOOD FOR PICNICS,LUNCH BOX AND TEA PARTY.

SOMETIMES WITH LEFTOVER INGREDIENTS, WE CAN PREPARE DELICIOUS RECIPES. I SAW SOME CHICKEN PIECES LEFT IN MY FRIDGE THAT I BOUGHT FOR THE WEEKEND AND I TRIED THIS EASY RECIPE FOR THE NEXT DAY ‘S LUNCH BOX. IT TURNED OUT WELL AND MY FAMILY LOVED IT.

YOU CAN ENJOY THESE SANDWICHES AT YOUR FAMILY PICNIC OR YOU CAN PACK THIS IN YOUR KIDS LUNCHBOX AND THEIR FRIENDS WILL ENVY THEM. KIDS AND GROWNUPS WILL EQUALLY ENJOY THIS SIMPLE AND CREAMY CHICKEN SANDWICH.

IT CAN BE SERVED AS PART OF A MID TO LATE AFTERNOON TEA PARTY TOO. MAYBE A DOZEN OF GUESTS OR ONLY ONE GOOD FRIEND, YOU CAN ENJOY IT WITH THIS SANDWICH.

I HAVE PREPARED A WHITE SAUCE AND ADDED THE CHICKEN TO IT.AND THEN I SPREAD IT ON THE BREAD.

VARIATIONS : I HAVE ADDED ONLY BLACK PEPPER POWDER IN THE SAUCE , YOU CAN ALSO ADD PAPRIKA POWDER TO IT ALONG WITH THE PEPPER POWDER.
YOU CAN ALSO ROLL THE SANDWICH AND USE AS A ROLLED SANDWICH .
YOU CAN ADD SOME TOMATO , LETTUCE AND ONION SLICES IN YOUR SANDWICH ALONG WITH THIS CREAMY SAUCE.

PREPARATION TIME : 30 MINUTES.

MAKING TIME : 10 MINUTES.

NUMBER OF SANDWICHES: 7 TO 8.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. CHICKEN BREAST     –   225 GRAMS .
  2. GINGER                    –   A SMALL PIECE.
  3. GARLIC                     –   2 CLOVES.
  4. BUTTER                     –   4 TABLESPOONS.
  5. ALL PURPOSE  FLOUR –   4 TEASPOONS.  
  6. MILK                             –   250 ML.
  7. BLACK PEPPER POWDER – 1/2 TEASPOON.
  8. BREAD – FEW SLICES.
  9. SALT          – TO TASTE.     

METHOD:

1. WASH THE CHICKEN WELL AND CUT INTO SMALL PIECES.

  BOIL THE CHICKEN PIECES TOGETHER WITH THE  GINGER

   AND GARLIC PIECES AND LITTLE SALT.

  2. WHEN THE CHICKEN IS COOKED ,LET IT COOL , SHRED IT

  AND KEEP IT ASIDE.DISCARD THE GINGER AND GARLIC PIECES.

 3.   IN A SAUCE PAN HEAT THE BUTTER AND ADD THE FLOUR

TO IT. SAUTE IT FOR ONE MINUTE IN LOW FLAME. ADD MILK

AND STIR .ADD SALT TO IT.STIR UNTIL IT BECOMES

CREAMY.WHEN THE MIXTURE IS CREAMY ADD THE PEPPER

POWDER MIX WELL AND SWITCH OFF THE STOVE.

4. MIX THE SHREDDED CHICKEN PIECES INTO THIS CREAMY SAUCE AND

MIX WELL.

5.SPOON THIS CHICKEN MIXTURE OVER THE TOASTED BREAD

ADD SOME LETTUCE ON TOP OF THE SAUCE AND COVER WITH

ANOTHER SLICE .

6.HALVE THE CHICKEN SANDWICH AND SERVE.

NOTE:USE COARSELY GROUNDED PEPPER POWDER ,IT TASTE BETTER THAN FINELY GROUNDED ONE. IF YOU HAVE LEFTOVER COOKED CHICKEN PIECES YOU CAN USE IT IN THIS RECIPE.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES

BOIL THE CHICKEN PIECES WITH GINGER AND GARLIC PIECES AND LITTLE SALT .SHRED THE CHICKEN PIECES AND KEEP IT ASIDE.DISCARD THE GINGER AND GARLIC.
HEAT THE BUTTER , AND ADD ALL PURPOSE FLOUR INTO THE BUTTER AND SAUTE IT FOR A MINUTE .THEN ADD THE MILK INTO THE BUTTER AND FLOUR MIXTURE,ADD SALT AND STIR IT UNTIL IT BECOMES CREAMY
ADD PEPPER POWDER TO IT AND MIX WELL.
SWITCH OFF THE STOVE AND ADD THE SHREDDED CHICKEN PIECES INTO THIS CREAMY SAUCE AND MIX WELL.
SPREAD IT OVER THE TOASTED BREAD AND COVER WITH ANOTHER SLICE.
