Chewy, delicious, easy to make raisin truffles

Raisin truffles are chewy, delicious, easy to make and are incredibly rich and decadent. Homemade truffles need not be only occasional treats, you can prepare a batch at any time and delight your family and friends.

The recipe of these petite sweets will be helpful if you want to prepare something special suddenly. Maybe to congratulate your children for getting good marks in a subject they find difficult, to surprise your husband or to send to your friend. And why only for others? You can prepare it and stash it for yourself.

You can include your kids in the preparation of this sweet treat.They can also give you a hand. You can ask them to roll the cocoa mixture into balls. It will be a good time together with your kids. They also would spend some quality time with you.

You can store them for one week in the fridge. When you keep them in the fridge, keep them in an airtight container and bring them to room temperature before eating. Let them sit outside the fridge for half an hour before having them. You have to do so because truffles taste best at room temperature.

RAISIN TRUFFLES RECIPE

These are chewy, delicious, easy to make , incredibly rich and decadent raisin truffles. These homemade truffles need not be only occasional treats, you can prepare a batch at any time and delight your family and friends.

PREPARATION TIME : 15 MINUTES.

COOKING TIME : 20 MINUTES.

NUMBER OF TRUFFLES YOU GET : 8.

INGREDIENTS

Condensed milk – 185 ml.

Unsweetened cocoa powder – two and a half tablespoon.

Unsalted butter – two table spoons.

Marie biscuits – 10 (powdered coarsely).

Raisins – two tablespoons.

METHOD

STEP 1. Powder the Marie biscuits coarsely and keep them aside.

STEP 2. In a thick bottomed pan, over a medium heat, combine together the condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter and bring the mixture to boil by stirring it.

STEP 3. Reduce the stove to low temperature and cook this for another few minutes, or until the mixture becomes thick. It will take around 8 to 10 minutes. Remove it from the heat and let it cool down and become warm.

STEP 4. When the cocoa mixture becomes warm add in the raisins and the biscuit powder and mix it well, until the raisins and the biscuit powder are well combined with the cocoa mixture. Let it cool completely.

STEP 5. Roll the cocoa mixture into walnut sized balls and keep them in petit four cases and serve.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES

Over a medium heat, combine the condensed milk, cocoa powder and butter and bring it to boil by stirring it continuously. Then, reduce the stove to medium temperature and cook this for another few minutes or until the mixture becomes thick .

Remove it from the heat and let it become warm. When the cocoa mixture becomes warm, add in the raisins and the biscuit powder and mix it well, until the raisins and the biscuit powder are well combined with the condensed milk and cocoa mixture. Let it cool completely.
Roll the cocoa mixture into walnut sized balls and keep them in petit four cases and serve.
