POTATO AND CHEESE PATTIES

THESE PATTIES ARE EASY TO MAKE, AND ONLY REQUIRE A HANDFUL OF INGREDIENTS, BUT TASTE DELICIOUS…..

I COMBINED SOME POTATO AND MOZZARELLA CHEESE AND PREPARED THIS QUICK EASY AND DELICIOUS RECIPE. CAN BE EATEN AS A SNACK. WE CAN PACK THESE PATTIES IN KIDS LUNCH BOX ALSO.THESE ARE GOOD JUST BY THEMSELVES YOU WON`T NEED TO SERVE THESE PATTIES WITH SAUCE OR ANYTHING. BUT IF YOU WISH YOU CAN SERVE IT WITH YOUR FAVORITE SAUCE.

PREPARED THIS ONE EVENING AND SERVED IT TO MY FAMILY , THEY ENJOYED IT. THE PLATTER WAS EMPTY WITHIN FEW MINUTES. I PREPARED IT LESS SPICY. YOU CAN ADD MORE CHILI IF YOU LIKE IT SPICIER.

BREAD CRUMBS WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY KITCHEN,SO I USED ROASTED SEMOLINA FOR DUSTING THE PATTIES.YOU CAN USE BREAD CRUMBS INSTEAD OF SEMOLINA.

VARIATIONS:

I HAVE PREPARED THIS PATTIES LESS SPICY,IF YOU LIKE IT SPICIER YOU CAN ADD MORE CHILI.IF YOU DO NOT LIKE GREEN CHILI YOU CAN ADD CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER INSTEAD OF GREEN CHILI.

I HAVE USED SEMOLINA TO DUST THE PATTIES YOU CAN ALSO USE BREAD CRUMBS.

HERE IN THIS RECIPE, I HAVE USED GARLIC POWDER,IT CAN BE REPLACED BY GARLIC PASTE.


POTATO CHEESE PATTIES RECIPE

QUICK,EASY AND DELICIOUS POTATO PATTIES,THAT CAN BE EATEN AS SNACK OR CAN BE PACKED IN LUNCH BOX ……..

PREPARATION TIME : 30 MINUTES.

COOKING TIME : 15 MINUTES.

NUMBER OF PATTIES :20.

INGREDIENTS:

POTATO    –  1/2 KG.

MOZZARELLA CHEESE  – 300GRAMS.

GARLIC POWDER – 1/2 TEASPOON.

CRUSHED GREEN CHILI – 1/2 TEASPOON.

ONION  –  1 SMALL.

ROASTED SEMOLINA – 2 TO 3 TABLESPOONS.

SALT – AS PER THE TASTE.

OIL  –  FOR FRYING.

METHOD:

STEP1.COOK THE POTATO AND MASH THEM WITH POTATO MASHER UNTIL NO LUMPS REMAIN.

STEP2.HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND ADD THE FINELY CHOPPED ONION INTO THE PAN AND SAUTE IT UNTIL SOFT.ADD THE GARLIC POWDER AND GREEN CHILI INTO THE SAUTEED ONION AND MIX WELL .ADD THE MASHED POTATO TO THIS MIXTURE AND MIX WELL.ADD LITTLE SALT .SAUTE THIS MIXTURE UNTIL THE MOISTURE IN THE MIXTURE IS COMPLETELY GONE.SWITCH OFF THE STOVE AND LET THE MIXTURE TO COOL A LITTLE, THEN ADD THE CHEESE AND MIX WELL.

STEP3.LET IT COOL.WHEN THE POTATO MIXTURE COMES TO NORMAL TEMPERATURE,MAKE SMALL PATTIES AND DUST THEM WITH ROASTED SEMOLINA.

STEP4.HEAT TWO TO THREE TABLESPOONS OF OIL IN A PAN AND FRY THESE PATTIES .WHEN ONE SIDE IS COOKED FLIP THE PATTIES AND FRY THE NEXT SIDE.FRY THEM UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN .

STEP5.SERVE IT HOT WITH TOMATO SAUCE.

NOTE:KEEP THE STOVE IN MEDIUM TEMPERATURE.IF THE TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT ,THE PATTIES WILL TURN BROWN OUTSIDE AND UNDER COOKED INSIDE.

FIRST ADD LESS SALT,AFTER ADDING THE CHEESE IF NEEDED YOU CAN ADD MORE.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES:

BOIL THE POTATO.

MASH THE POTATO.

SAUTE THE ONION ,AND THEN ADD THE GREEN CHILI PIECES AND GINGER GARLIC POWDER AND SAUTE WELL.

ADD THE MASHED POTATO AND MIX WELL.

SWITCH OFF THE STOVE AND LET THE MIXTURE TO COOL DOWN A LITTLE,THEN ADD THE CHEESE AND MIX WELL.

LET IT COOL AND MAKE THE PATTIES AND DUST IT IN SEMOLINA.

HEAT THREE TO FOUR TABLE SPOONS OF OIL IN A PAN AND FRY THEM UNTIL BOTH THE SIDES ARE CRISPY AND BROWN.

SERVE IT HOT.
