These delicious oat and chocolate balls are perfect for a quick snack. They are easy to make and are super tasty. They are perfect grab and go snacks, you can pack them in your kids lunch boxes or you can have one whenever you crave a sweet treat.

A few years back, I tasted a protein bar from a local coffee shop. It was made of wholegrains. After that I was inspired to start making recipes using wholesome ingredients like oats, nuts and more. Oats is one of my favorite ingredients, I always have a pack of oats in my pantry, so that I can whip up quick recipes whenever I am in a hurry. I don’t feel too much guilt while munching on this sweet treat because it is made of one of my favorite healthy ingredients.

The perfect combination of oats and cocoa, coated with almonds makes these oat and chocolate balls healthy and delicious.

I dry roasted the oats and ground them coarsely. Then I added the oats along with cocoa, into a mixture of butter, sugar and vanilla and mixed well. After that, I added a bit of strong cold coffee into this mixture and then shaped it into balls. Then I dusted the balls in coarsely ground toasted almonds.

The coffee added into this recipe increases flavor. You can also roll these balls in chocolate sprinkles or desiccated coconut.

After making them, transfer the balls into an airtight container and store in the fridge. They can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Hope they wont last for that many days, because they’ll all be eaten by then.
