Grapeseed oil is pressed from the seeds of grapes and is thus an abundant by-product of winemaking. It can be used for cooking and also it can be used as a natural beauty product. This is one of my favorite pantry ingredients. I will use it for stir-frying, baking, and also as a moisturizer during winter.
Once, a few years ago, I went to a winery in Georgia, Europe. That was the first time I had ever tasted, grapeseed oil. There, I found out about all of the benefits of grapeseed oil. I have been mesmerised by the oil ever since.
Grapeseed oil’s uses in cooking:
I like to cook with grapeseed oil. I use it in my stir-fries and for baking. Grapeseed oil is a good source of vitamin E. Vitamin E works as a fat-soluble antioxidant.
Grapeseed oil has a high smoke point, which makes it a good substitute for olive or vegetable oils when stir-frying and sauteing. Whenever possible, use cold-pressed grapeseed oil in your recipes.
Due to its clean, light taste, and high polyunsaturated fat content, it may be used as an ingredient in salad dressings and as a base for oil infusions of garlic, rosemary, or other herbs or spice. It is widely used in baked goods, pancakes, and waffles.
Grapeseed oil’s uses in skin and hair care:
It is beneficial to skin due to its vitamin E and Omega-6 fatty acid content. Consuming grapeseed oil in your diet may help in fighting the free radicals and prevent the skin damages caused by them. And it may help improve your skin.
It is also a good moisturizer. During winter I used to apply it on my skin. It kept my skin moisturized and prevented winter dryness.
Grapeseed oil may improve the condition of your hair and scalp too. It will moisturize the scalp and prevent dandruff and keep your hair stronger and luxurious.
