Garlic has plenty of health benefits. I use garlic in many of my recipes. It is always good to use fresh garlic in food. But when I do not have fresh garlic bulbs, I go for garlic powder.

Garlic powder is used in cooking for enhancing the flavor of the food. It is obtained from dehydrated garlic. It is a common component of many spice mixes. It is also a common component of salt mixtures.

Fresh garlic is used in many recipes not only for its flavor and aroma, but also for its health benefits. If you do not have fresh garlic you can easily substitute it with garlic powder. You can use garlic powder almost in all recipes without losing flavor. There are times when fresh garlic could burn easily, but garlic powder won’t.

I use it in curries, to season meat and veggies, and also many other recipes. Some times to save a bit time I add garlic powder. Fresh garlic requires peeling and grinding. But when it is garlic powder just grab it from the spice rack and add in the recipe.

This is why garlic powder is one of my pantry staples.
