Pasta is a very familiar and influential dish. It is one of the central aspects of Italian cuisine and is loved by people all over the world. It is an incredibly warming comfort food which is timeless and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

If you want to prepare a delicious dinner for your family in less than 30 minutes, then this recipe is the perfect choice. A plate of pasta always looks attractive and is comforting and delicious. From experts to amateurs, anyone can prepare this dish easily.

This is one of the my family’s favorite recipes. It is easy to prepare, doesn’t require much time and will make a simple dinner all the more enjoyable.

I have prepared alfredo sauce using cooking cream (you can use heavy cream) and parmesan cheese. Then I have added the cooked pasta to it and seasoned with pepper.

This easy yet filling and flavourful recipe can be served as lunch or dinner. It can be served with a bowl of vegetable or chicken salad. It will be a perfect combination for this pasta.

I have not added any herbs in this recipe. If you have fresh parsley, then add a handful when you serve. It is completely optional.

FETTUCCINE ALFREDO RECIPE

Easy and delicious pasta recipe that can be prepared within 30 minutes

PREPARATION TIME : 5 MIN + TIME TO COOK THE PASTA

COOKING TIME : 15 TO 20 MINUTES

CAN BE SERVED TO 4 PEOPLE

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams of Fettuccine pasta
  • 250 ml of cooking cream or heavy cream
  • 3/4 ( in a 250 ml cup) cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 small garlic cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of coarsely ground black pepper
  • A little bit of pasta water
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley (optional)
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, drain the water and keep it aside. Save a few tablespoons of pasta water so that you can use it later if needed.
  • In a thick bottomed vessel over a low heat add the butter. When the butter melts, add the garlic and sauté for two minutes or until the raw smell of the garlic is gone and a nice aroma comes from it.
  • Add the cream and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese and mix. Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, keep stirring it until the sauce thickens.
  • When the sauce becomes thick add the pasta and mix. Drizzle the pepper powder over it and mix well. Check salt and if needed add more.
  • If the pasta is too thick, add a little bit of pasta water and stir.
  • Serve it hot, by topping it with some grated parmesan cheese.

NOTE:

Adding a handful of freshly chopped parsley adds aroma and flavour to the dish. You can add a handful if you have. It is optional. The recipe tastes wonderful by itself too.

When you cook the pasta add salt and cook.
