Easy Chicken Curry

This easy chicken curry looks simple and very easy to make but taste delicious.

Ingredients

Chicken            – 1 kg cut into medium sized pieces.

Tomato            – 1 Big.

Onion               – 1Big.

Cashew Nuts  – 1 Handfull.

Gingergarlic paste -1Teaspoon each.

Turmeric powder – 1/2 Teaspoon.

Red chili powder – 1 and a 1/2 Teaspoon.

Coriander powder – 2 Teaspoon.

Cardamom  –  5.

Cloves          –  4.

Cinnamon    –  2 Small sticks.

Staranise     –  2.

Fennel          – 1/4 Teaspoon.

oil                 – 3 Tablespoons.

Salt              – As per the taste

 

 

Method

Marinate the chicken pieces with 1/4 teaspoon of salt,1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder and keep it for half an hour.

Cut the tomato and onion into small pieces. In a pressure cooker, put these tomato and onion pieces, along with this goes in the cardamom, cloves, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, fennel seeds and cashew nuts. Pour enough water, so that all the ingredients are in the water. Pressure cook this for five whistles in medium flame. Open the lid when the pressure is completely gone. Let it cool, when it is a cool grind this into a smooth paste and keep it aside.

Heat two to three tablespoons of oil in a thick bottomed vessel put the ginger and garlic paste together into it and saut’e it well in low flame for five minutes or until the raw smell of the ginger garlic paste is completely gone. Now add in the paste that we prepared earlier and it goes two teaspoons of coriander powder, one teaspoon of red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and saut’e it well, let this cook for half another 8 to 10 minutes in low flame, keep stirring it.

After this masala is well cooked put the chicken pieces in this masala, pour the required amount of water and salt and cook it until the chicken becomes soft.

Keep stirring in between to prevent the masala get burned at the bottom of the vessel.

Now the chicken curry is ready without any effort, and its ready to serve.

Garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it hot
