Chinese restaurant-style egg fried rice, with green peas and carrot….

This dish looks colorful, tastes good and it will tempt you to have more. With carrots and peas in, it looks colorful, also it is nutritious. If you serve it to your family, everybody will ask whether it is from a restaurant, because it tastes exactly like the fried rice that you have from Chinese restaurants.

This fried rice will be loved by both adults and kids. Kids will like this recipe because it is barely spicy. This super tasty rice can be prepared with less time and with a handful of ingredients, and is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.

The eggs in it add flavor and protein to the dish. I have added few carrot pieces which is also healthy. The green peas added in it are also packed with nutrients.

So next time you feel like eating some Chinese style egg fried rice you don’t have to go to any restaurants, you can make some in your kitchen and surprise your family members.

CAN LEFTOVER RICE BE USED TO PREPARE THIS RECIPE ?

You can prepare it with leftover rice also. If you have some cooked basmati rice left in your fridge, you can easily make this tasty fried rice without any difficulty.

If you are using cooked rice you will need 2 and 1/4 cups of rice, in a 250 ml cup.

VARIATIONS THAT CAN BE MADE

If you want it to be spicy you can add little black pepper powder at the end, before you remove if from the heat. I have added dark soy sauce you can add light soy sauce if you wish. Both tastes equally good.

CHINESE RESTAURANT STYLE EGG FRIED RICE RECIPE

Protein rich Chinese style egg fried rice, with green peas and carrots… looks beautiful, tastes good and it will tempt you to have more. With carrots and peas in, it looks colorful, also it is nutritious.

PREPARATION TIME : 25 MINUTES.

COOKING TIME : 15 TO 20 MINUTES.

NUMBER OF SERVINGS : GOOD FOR ONE PERSON.

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup (In a 250 ml cup) of basmati rice partially cooked.

Three big eggs, beaten.

Two big cloves of garlic crushed.

Two small spring onions chopped finely.

1/2 cup (in a 250 ml cup) of green peas, cooked .

1/4 piece of a small carrot cut into small pieces and cooked.

1/2 teaspoon of soy sauce.

Two tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Required amount of salt.

METHOD

STEP 1. Cook the rice until it is almost cooked, but not soft. Drain the water and rinse it with fresh cold water and keep it aside.

STEP 2. Heat one teaspoon of oil in a pan, add the eggs into it, scramble and keep aside.

STEP 3. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a thick bottomed pan over a medium flame, when the oil is hot add the crushed garlic into it and saute it until the raw smell of the garlic is gone and a nice aroma comes.

STEP 4. Then add the finely chopped spring onions, green peas and carrot pieces. Saute them for one minute.Then add the rice and mix well.

STEP 5. Now add the scrambled egg into this mixture and mix until all the ingredients are well combined.

STEP 6. Add the soy sauce and mix and then add the required salt and stir them well so that the soy sauce and the salt mix with the rice.

STEP 7. Let it cook in low flame for another two minutes. Stir it occasionally. After two minutes remove it from the stove, garnish it with freshly chopped spring onions and serve it hot.
