Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Chiku shake or chiku milkshake is a very healthy and delicious drink. It is healthy because of the nutrients loaded in the fruit. It boosts the energy immediately because of the presence of fructose and sucrose.

Chiku which is also called as sapota tastes delicious when it is eaten just like that as a fruit. It also tastes yummy when it is blended into a milkshake. Chiku fruits are not tasty when they are raw but when ripe they tastes delicious.

We have a chiku tree in our house which produces fruits for not only us, but also various animals like squirrels and bats. We use to pluck fruits from it by tying a net under the tree so that the fruits won’t fall down on to the ground. If the fruits fall down they will break and will spoil.

CHIKU TREE

In this recipe I have used milk, sugar, and chiku pieces. This is a super simple and easy drink that you can prepare within a few minutes.

You can top it up with some vanilla ice -cream if you wish.I did not use any ice cream in this recipe just to reduce the sugar intake. If you are giving to children you can top it up with some ice-cream.They will love it.

The recipe is so easy that even a small child can make it if we give the chopped chiku pieces. They can blend it by themselves. Put the fruit pieces in the blender add in the sugar and milk and blend it .You can also use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
